Come Bye Border Collie Rescue adult dogs offered for adoption have been heartworm tested and are on heartworm preventative, spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and, in season, on flea/tick preventative.
Come Bye Border Collie Rescue puppies are wormed for intestinal parasites, received their age appropriate vaccines and are microchipped. If too young to spay or neuter, the adopter will agree to spay or neuter the puppy as a part of the adoption, along with the payment of an additional $100 deposit.
Please note this dog's foster home Location is included on this page, but you must go through the adoption process and be approved prior to doing a meet and greet with the foster dog.
He is easy peasy!!! Mack is good with other dogs, riding in the car and walks well on a leash. He is excellent in the house. I do crate him if I leave him home unattended but otherwise he has free run of the house. He is also very good in his crate.
Mack is good with people but is a little soft at first...not fearful necessarily but more indifferent. Once he gets to know someone he just wants to sit next to them and get pets for HOURS. He'll nudge your hand if you stop before he's ready for you to. Did I mention that his coat is gorgeous! I really like this boy.
Mack was surrendered to a shelter when his owner was moving overseas and couldn't take him. When Come Bye pulled him from the shelter he did test positive for heartworms but he has already gone through treatments and is doing great.
