Please note this dog's foster home Location is included on this page, but you must go through the adoption process and be approved prior to doing a meet and greet with the foster dog.
Hildie is a gentle, loving girl with a soft heart and a sweet spirit. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is surprisingly easy for baths — calm, cooperative, and patient.
She’s made incredible progress, but she’s still learning that new experiences aren’t scary. Hildie can be fearful when a collar or leash is being put on, and she’ll need a patient adopter who can go slow and help her build confidence. She also has a few barrier reactivity quirks — if she’s behind a gate, she may bark or get reactive, but once the barrier is gone, she’s her normal sweet self.
Hildie loves treats… maybe a little too much! She takes them like a tiny shark, so her future family should help her learn gentle manners for taking treats.
What Makes Hildie Special
Sweet, affectionate, and gentle
Dog-friendly and enjoys canine company
Excellent for baths and grooming
Working on leash-and-collar confidence
Some barrier reactivity (gates, etc.), but very sweet when not behind them
Treat-motivated — eager to learn
Hildie is a diamond in the rough — soft, sweet, and ready to flourish with someone who understands sensitive dogs. She needs patience, kindness, and a safe place to grow into the confident girl she’s meant to be.
Is she the tender-hearted companion you’ve been waiting for?
Fostered in Plymouth, IN.
